For the last century welders around the world have looked to the name Victor for quality equipment and supplies for their trade. Now, the owner of Victor, Thermadyne Industries, Inc., will be using the Victor name as its trademark and logo in an effort to reach back to its roots.

Victor Technologies International is the name Thermadyne Holdings Corp., is using to re-establish itself in the welding supply industry, says Martin Quinn, CEO. "Our vision for the company is 'Innovation to shape the world.' "

The name change is meant to leverage the original attributes of the Victor brand, he said. Those are "authenticity, reliability and innovation."

BACK TO THE FUTURE? The new logo for Victor Technologies, the new name for Thermadyne Holdings Corp., is indicative of the firm returning to its roots as a supplier of high-quality welding supplies and equipment.
