Maximizing irrigation dollars -- saved and made -- is part of the goal of Servi-Tech's new comprehensive soil-moisture monitoring system called TheProfiler.

Consisting of a trio of soil moisture probes, a telemetry box, cell phone modem, solar panel and related hardware, TheProfiler allows irrigators to remotely track how much moisture crops receive to better manage sprinkler systems. Available for irrigated fields throughout the U.S. the equipment tracks moisture at 12, 24, and 36 inches in the profile every 30 minutes and uploads that data on to theprofileonline.com. Data from the sensor is viewed in graph form and can be seen in one to 30-day reports to track moisture trends.
