The new Stickmate LX300 from Hobart Welding can light a 300-amp fire with AC output, but is also capable of more mild-mannered habits with 200-amps of DC arc.

The AC/DC output enables the use of specialty electrodes for a wide range of metals, including mild steel, cast iron, aluminum and more. It is ideal for big jobs on the farm or ranch and is right at home on maintenance repairs and hobbyist applications as well.

The Stickmate LX's power source features Accu-Set, which allows the user to finetune the arc in 1-amp increments. The machine is also rated for higher duty cycles with reduced output to give more time welding on thinner materials.

Hobarts new AC/DC stick welder throws a 300 AC amp arc for really heavy projects, and provides for a 200 amp DC for cleaner welds.
