Rough Day For Corn And Soybeans

Disappointing ethanol news for corn and a fall below the 200-day average in soybeans has markets on the slide. (audio)

Published on: Oct 11, 2013

Just when it seemed there was no information coming from the government, news from EPA that they are considering lowering next year’s renewable fuels number hit the streets putting pressure on corn prices at harvest. Great weather has combines moving at a quick pace before rains come to the Midwest to open next week adding harvest pressure to corn and soybean prices.  Wheat prices continue to find strength as they seem to be picking up demand signals that were a little unexpected.

Farm Futures Market Analyst Paul Burgener reports on morning grain trade. Listen to him using the audio player on this page.
