A new conical flow nozzle and spring electrode make Hypertherm's new Duramax torches for its plasma cutters a leap ahead in technology for metal workers and farm shops.

The avisit dvanced cutting systems from Hypertherm retrofit to rigs 20 or more years old, and make today's technology available to owners of existing equipment. The new torch designs make maintaining an arc easier and provides up to six times the life on consumables as in original plasma cutters.

The new release includes torches designed for the Powermax600, Powermax800, Powermax900 and the MAX42 and MAX43 machines. The redesign includes an ergonomic 75 degree hand torch and convertible machine torch, and all fit existing Hypertherm equipment hookups.

Duramax torches from Hypertherm fit a variety of Powermax and MAX plasma cutters from the firm.
