NCGA Corn Yield Contest Kicks Off

Online entry for Corn Yield Contest begins Tuesday with discounted registration

Published on: Apr 2, 2013

The National Corn Growers Association Tuesday opened online entry for the 2013 National Corn Yield Contest.  The online format allows farmers to submit all necessary entry forms with an early discount until June 15.

"As planting season gets underway in many parts of the country, I encourage members to take advantage of the discount, use the easy online form and become a part of the contest," NCGA Production and Stewardship Action Team Chair Dean Taylor said.

The online entry software allows growers to enter the contest and join NCGA and their state association. The web-based system simplifies data submission, allows users to view their submissions at any time and will allow for efficient use of contest data.

Seed representatives and entrants are welcome to enter through this new platform. Current members should have their NCGA membership ID ready. Non-members wishing to participate can fill out the online membership profile and enter immediately following completion of this form.

NCGA's annual National Corn Yield Contest gives participants deserved recognition and the opportunity to learn from their peers.

Winners receive national recognition in publications such as the NCYC Corn Yield Guide, as well as trips or other awards from participating sponsoring seed, chemical and crop protection companies.

Winners will be recognized during the 2014 Commodity Classic in San Antonio, Texas.
