Fendt Launches 700 Series Tractors

The new 700 Series tractors from Fendt are powered with 6.06 L six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engines from Deutz  and boast a 10% boost in fuel economy over previous models. All models put power to the ground through Fendt's Vario CVT and will transport at 31 miles perhour.

Ranging from 100 horsepower to 195 hp. the new 700s are capable of handling up to 39,600 lbs. gross weight on a chassis rated at 17,416 lbs. of unladen weight -- for a power-to-weight ratio of 72 lbs. per horsepower. Easily mounted front and rear weights can be added to put 60% of the weight of the tractor on the rear axle, or vice versa. In addition, optional wheel weights -- each 2,205 lbs. -- can be fitted to the rims to further pulling and loading power while maintaining the tractor's width.

A new cab offers virtually unlimited visibility in the work zone and is mounted on a mechanical or pneumatic suspension system.

The all-new VarioActive steering provides a variable gear ratio for high maneuverability at any speed, and the system's quick response makes the tractor a natural for front loader work. The Fendt Stability Control system kicks in above 12.5 mph to lock the differential to dampen side-to-side movement for stability.

The 700 Series offers 22 equipment connections, including six rear and two front double-acting hydraulic valves, factory-installed front and three-point hitches, and full ISOBUS connection to communicate with implements.

A maximum rear lift capacity of 21,120 lbs. is standard across the series.

The new machines will be on display at the Farm Progress Show, Aug. 28-30 in Boone, Iowa.
