According to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, U.S. ethanol production reached an all time high in November 2009 at 761,000 barrels per day. That is an increase of 93,000 barrels per day from November 2008.
Ethanol demand, as calculated by the Renewable Fuels Association, also reached an all time high in November at 781,000 barrels per day, up from 683,000 a year ago. Ethanol demand is averaging 702,000 barrels per day through November.
EIA also reports fuel ethanol imports of 12 million gallons in September.
