Beef Producers Consider a Denver Trip

Policy changes, regulations, consumer issues, and changing buyer attitudes make the beef industry is as dynamic as ever. Cattle producers have a chance to be part of a significant annual grassroots effort to set policy and the direction of the the National Cattlemen's Beef Association. The event is the Cattle Industry Summer Conference which is set for July 25-28, 2012 in Denver.

J.D. Alexander, NCBA president, remarks: "With challenges of overreaching regulations coming from the Beltway threatening our ability to raise cattle, coupled with obstacles from Mother Nature and more, it is critical for all NCBA members to take an active role in shaping the future of our industry and our organization. I’ve said it before, but if you don’t have a seat at the table; you’re probably on the menu. The 2012 Cattle Industry Summer Conference will give cattlemen and women the opportunity to take their seat at the table."

NCBA is the voice of the beef industry, Alexander says. "In order to continue being successful and for our policy process to work, we need every member to be engaged. If you want a seat at the table in shaping the future of this industry, Denver is the place to be this July."

Cost to register for members - using the online price - is $275. The mail/fax price is $290 and the on-site price will be $300. American National Cattle Women can register for $220 online, $235 by mail/fax or $245 on site (that's the same price for guest/spouse registration). For non-members registration is $375 online, $390 by mail/fax and $400 on site.
