Mega Cats overtakes Ford Cotton

Had cotton prices dropped sooner, Ford Cotton 09leader Steve Ford and member Neal Isbell would have called options and left the game with higher winnings, perhaps enough to propel the team into 1st place. The vagaries of the market are such that the game closed on Friday and cotton prices fell on Tuesday, the next opening bell given the Memorial Day holiday. And so the game ends with Mega Cats in 1st place. Of the 13 teams in the game, 4 made a profit. Here are their standings: Mega Cats Team $621,755.38 Ford Cotton 09 $456,945.86 Florida Milk Money $34,975.73 Volunteer One $14,156.51 This is the final report from game manager John VanSickle: "Ford Cotton09 extended its lead in the competition again this week being led again by Neal Isbell. The Mega CATS team organized by Oscar Vergara was the winner in the team competition with profits of $621,755. The team made a strong showing in the last month of the competition and was the only team to have 5 traders showing a profit at the end of the second half trading session. Ford Cotton finished second with profits of $456,945 and Florida Milk Money was a distant third with profits of $34,975." Registered users can comment on this blog.
